Not to jump on the bandwagon like everyone else. I know goal setting at this time of the year is pretty cliche. But, this is one lesson I’ve definitely learned over the last few years. This is probably my 3rd year of writing down goals.
Here are my goals for 2008:
- Be the BEST husband and father I can be
- Eat healthy
- Love life
- Get closer to God
Just kidding. These are all well and good, but not very actionable. Those are more life pholosphies. I’ve started to make more actionable goals. So, my goals that I have this year are
- Go on atleast one date with my wife each month (We are still trying to figure out how to balance parenthood and our Romance life)
- Go on 2 vacations (In the past we never got around to bugeting/planning these well in advance)
- Weigh <= 180lbs by year end by working out more and eating better (I currently weigh about 188lbs)
- Read an average of 1 book a month
- Stick to our First anual budget
- Get closer to God through reading the bible and praying more
I plan on blogging about each of these goals in more detail. What do you think about these goal?
